We’ve Got Some BIG News to Share!

Last night was one for the books! Dawie and Rhodri had the honour of attending the prestigious Best Butchery Awards hosted by The National Craft Butchers - and we’re over the moon to announce that we were crowned Best Large Butcher in Wales!

This is no small feat. Winning this award involved a detailed application showcasing every aspect of our business - from the provenance of our produce to our commitment to sustainability and community. We were then visited by a mystery shopper to ensure our quality and service matched our words. Finally, our business went through further rigorous scrutiny before the judges made their final decision.

The report stated"The overall experience was extremely positive. The store offered a great selection of well-presented products, all clearly priced, which made browsing and decision-making easy. The standout aspect was the staff member's product knowledge. He was able to answer questions confidently and made thoughtful recommendations based on my needs. The emphasis on local sourcing also added to the appeal, as it reflected quality and sustainability. There were no negative aspects during my visit. If this were my local store, I would definitely become a regular customer due to the variety, freshness, and high standard of service."

A spokesperson from the judging panel also commented “Excellent use of multiple media channels to promote the brand and expand the business. Great loyalty to locally sourced produce, traditional skills encouraged with a flair for modern tastes.”

To come out on top makes us incredibly proud and this award truly belongs to our entire team. Our team from the butchers, (front of house and behind the scenes) to back office staff, delivery drivers - the whole team pour their hearts into what they do, working tirelessly to bring you not just the best cuts of meat, but also warmth, passion, and excellent service every single day.
